Wild salmon are one of nature's wildest and most perfect foods. They are the lifeline of the Pacific Northwest, feeding entire ecosystems with their nutrient-rich bodies. To have sustainable and productive wild Pacific salmon fisheries, you need healthy rivers, streams and freshwater lakes which salmon call home during the beginning and end of their life cycle. Unfortunately, human disturbances and development have destroyed a large percentage of wild salmon habitat and continue to threaten the last remaining watersheds. That's why Trout Unlimited and its members work everyday to protect, reconnect, and restore wild salmon habitat throughout Pacific salmon's native range so that we might be able to harvest and celebrate wild salmon for generations to come.We can't do it alone though. As a seafood lover, chef, fish monger, business owner, seafood processor, and/or fisherman, you play a critical role in the future of our wild salmon fisheries. We need your help in not only demanding that delicious wild salmon remain an option in our kitchens, but that they be abundant in our wild streams and rivers as well.
